Dress Code
The adopted uniform consists of the following articles which may be mixed and/or matched. All clothing must be clean and well-maintained at all times when worn to school.
In an effort to provide guidance for parents on the proper color and style of clothing and to eliminate an adversarial role between the home and school, we are limiting the places where clothing may be purchased at Schoolbelles, Land's End, or our Spirit Wear Vendor. Clothing from these sources meets our uniform code in color and style. In addition, Land's End provides a 10% Scrip rebate which will help families build credit toward tuition.

Physical Education Wear Students in grades 5 - 8 are required (4 recommended) to bring a change of clothing for their physical education classes. Maroon P. E. uniform shorts are required and must be purchased through our spirit wear vendor. Purchase of the P. E. t-shirt is optional. Any t-shirt may be worn. All students must wear sneakers to P.E. class. To protect the floor's finish a different pair than that worn for regular classes is required.
Non-Uniform Days All non-uniform days are dress up days unless specifically named as dress down days. Non-uniform days are a reward to a student for a specific reason such as a birthday. Although the student is exempt from the uniform for a day, he/she is still to abide by the intent of the dress code. Therefore, non-uniform DRESS CLOTHES are to be worn.
Sweat shirts and pants, blue jeans, T-shirts and tank tops/sleeveless tops are not acceptable on these days. Colored jeans (except any shade of blue) may be worn. Shorts may be worn only during the months when uniform shorts are allowed but must be no more than 4" above the knee.
On dress down uniform days, sweat shirts and sweat pants, and blue jeans may be worn. These should be clean and with no holes in them. T-shirts may be worn on dress down days but may not have a picture or wording which is contrary to the teaching of the Church or contrary to the messages taught in the school. On Fridays the school Spirit T-Shirt may be worn with uniform bottoms.
Other Guidelines Safety, consideration of distracting elements, and a realization that fads are temporary are the basis for the following guidelines:
- Boys must wear their hair above the collar in a traditional hair style. No shaved heads and no designs may be shaved into the hair. The length and bulk of the hair will not be excessive or present a ragged, unkempt, or extreme appearance. When combed forward, hair will not fall over the ears or eyes.
- Because of gang influence, baseball hats may not be worn to/in school. Girls must wear their hair out of their eyes in a conventional hairstyle.
- Girls in Grades K-4 may wear only studs in their pierced ears. Girls in Grades 5-8 may wear earrings that do not extend over or below the earlobe. Only one earring per ear is allowed. Boys may not wear earrings. No other body piercing is allowed.
- Tattoos (either washable or permanent) are not allowed. Distracting jewelry may not be worn.
- Students may not wear cosmetics on the school grounds during school hours. Fingernail polish worn by girls should be in good taste and not stand out. No shatter, crackle, neon or black polish allowed. No nail embellishments or charms allowed. Only one color of polish should be worn on all nails.
Logos St. Anthony's official school logo may be embroidered on polos, fleece, and sweatshirts at the approved locations. It will either be maroon on the white tops or athletic gold on the maroon tops. The panther head logo is only allowed on fleece.
Spirit Days Thursdays are spirit days. The school spirit T-shirt (purchased during the current year or past years) may be worn on Thursdays, with any uniform bottom.
