Our Parish Community
Tradition plays a major role at St. Anthony's; many students are children of alumni, and even a few teachers are former Panthers. This speaks to the commitment of our parish community as they actively support our largest mission, St. Anthony de Padua Catholic School. You'll find generations of St. Anthony parishioners partaking in school events such as the 8
th Grade Spaghetti Dinner, Athletic Association Monte Carlo Night, or the annual Chili Supper.
St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Parish is a strong, vibrant faith community that embraces our youth. Our Children's Liturgy of the Word, presented during the 9:00 am and 11:00 am Masses, introduces our youngest parishioners to the Gospel in a child-friendly manner. Older children can offer their talents as altar servers, choir members and instrumentalists. Come summer, our parish welcomes all children to participate in Vacation Bible School.
At St. Anthony, you'll find a supportive community empowered to sustain our members through life's journeys of faith. Among our faith ministries, you'll find:
- Eucharistic Adoration
- Disciples in Mission
- Adult Enrichment Classes
- Novena to St. Anthony de Padua
- Bible Study
- RCIA: Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults
- Christ Renews His Parish Retreats
- Rosary
Community service is an important aspect of Christian stewardship at St. Anthony's. You'll find many opportunities to serve in the fellowship of other parishioners, including:
- Advent Giving Tree
- Hope Rescue Mission Breakfasts
- Center for the Homeless Lunches
- Social Concerns Committee
- Habitat for Humanity Project
- St. Vincent de Paul Society
- Hannah's House Shower
Social connections nurture the spirit, and help create the bonds that turn church-goers into members. Fundraisers become "fun-raisers", and potluck suppers abound as we come together to celebrate the goodness of the community we've created: the Catholic Church and School of St. Anthony de Padua.
