Sports and Extra-Curricular Activities

St. Anthony's recognizes the value of team play, good sportsmanship and achieving goals through team sports. Panthers in Grades K-4 participate in soccer and basketball intramural programs. Students in Grades 5-8 proudly represent the Maroon & Gold as they play other area schools in the Inter-City Catholic League. Perhaps you've seen our athletes sporting their letter jackets, adorned with well-earned letters and chevrons. For girls, we offer soccer, softball, volleyball, basketball and track. Boys play soccer, football, basketball and baseball. Parents get involved as coaches, team parents and fans. Indeed, many lifelong family friendships begin in the bleachers at St. Anthony's!

Our students partner with parents and teachers in exploring the many extra-curricular opportunities available. The annual Christmas Program is a highlight for students in Kindergarten through Grade 4. Our older students present a Variety Show in the spring.

Included among our extra-curricular activities . . .

  • Altar Servers and Cantors
  • Pep Club
  • Safety Patrol
  • Quiz Bowl
  • Bell Choir (Grades 4-8)
  • Scouting
  • Choir (Grades 3-8)
  • Student Council
  • Youth Group (Grades 9-12)
  • Athletic Clubs (Golf, Table Tennis, Skiing)

There are plenty of extra-curricular activities for parents, too! In all school organizations and in the classroom, you'll find our dedicated parents donating their time and talents for our children. Our parents are the lifeblood of an enthusiastic and active Home and School Association (HASA). The efforts of our School Board and our Athletic Board make a real difference for our students. Parents and even grandparents can be found as coaches, scout leaders and tutors. The camaraderie that our families enjoy creates the "family feeling" that surrounds students at St. Anthony's.
