A Sacrament of Commitment
We welcome all inquiries of engaged couples who wish to be married at St. Anthony de Padua. Please keep the following policy in mind:
- Weddings at St. Anthony’s can only be scheduled through the pastor.
- The pastor will only schedule a wedding after having met first with the couple.
Note: a person who wishes to be married must personally call for an appointment; appointments will not be made through a parent of the
bride or groom.
- Only the following are eligible to be married at St. Anthony’s:
- Bride or groom lives physically within the boundaries of the parish.
- If
living physically outside the boundaries of the parish, bride or groom is a registered member of the parish and attends Mass regularly.
- Bride or groom attended St. Anthony School.
- Bride’s or groom’s parents currently are members of St. Anthony’s.
- Bride or groom grew up as a member of St. Anthony’s.
- The
pastor, according to diocesan policy, must be contacted at least 6 months before the wedding is to take place in order to allow ample time for preparation.
