Celebrating a Life through Death
It is a holy and wholesome thought to pray for the dead.
In her ritual of celebrating life, Holy Mother the Church buries the mortal remains of Her beloved as we all await the glory of the resurrection on the last day. This is the promise of the Lord Jesus Himself. This is what gives great comfort and consolation to the family members who remain with us here on earth.
Funeral arrangements are made through the services of a Funeral Home. Contact is made with the Parish Office and details concerning the Liturgy will then be put together in collaboration with family members.
The ritual of burying the deceased can be done within the context of the celebration of the Eucharist or it may be done separately, as opted for by the family, in the Funeral Home itself. Should the family choose to have the funeral services at the Parish Church, there are Diocesan Guidelines which are very helpful.
